We'll Miss You Auntie Tuesday

NOVEMBER 4 - Today was a bittersweet day. Nina (aka Auntie Tuesday) left for Denmark. We know she's excited but we're going to miss her SO much. Mateo and I were fortunate to have her stay with us for quite some time before her big move, but that just makes the house feel a little empty now. Luckily, we'll get to see her again over the Christmas holiday when we fly out to Europe for a visit. We're looking forward to it. In the words of Nancy Grace, "Walk slow and hurry back." We love you and miss you Auntie Tuesday.

Shine on

Mateo got his first shiner. He had a little accident in the hotel room, which completely freaked me out, but luckily he's OK. It's a good thing kids are made out of rubber. From what I've been told, this is just the beginning (for a boy). I don't even want to think about it anymore.

Chi-town

Lunch at Fogo de Chao (Brazilian Steakhouse)
Going green. Lolo gave Mateo a stump from a stalk of asparagus and you couldn't tear it away from him. He drooled all over that thing.
Mateo was such a good sport about being put in the middle, with Teagan crying on one side of him and Ruari getting CinniMinis all over the place on the other side of him. What is it with these girls?
NOVEMBER 2 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLA EBS! We were in Chicago to celebrate Mom's birthday and Nina's departure. OK, we didn't WANT to celebrate Nina's departure but we just couldn't let her leave quietly.

OCTOBER 31 - HAPPY HALLOWEEN! OK, I just couldn't resist. It's beyond cute!

Mateo's 1st Halloween

OCTOBER 30 at 5:30pm - Dressed and ready to head downtown to Plymouth's Great Pumpkin Caper for Mateo's first Halloween outting. He may not be able to eat the candy but Ric & I can. You might be asking, why a banana? The answer is simple, because it was Ric's first thought for a costume. I'm guessing it's also do to the fact it's Ric's favorite fruit and he was hungry when I asked him.

Blueberries!

OCTOBER 30 - I fed Mateo blueberries for dessert today and he couldn't get enough (what's new?). He took the spoon from me, wouldn't give it back, and tried to feed himself. Yummy!

8 Months Old!!!

OCTOBER 26 - It feels as if the time between each month is only a week long. In layman's terms, time is going by fast. Mateo has reached the 8-month mark and we've all survived.
He's still his happy-go-lucky self and we couldn't be any more blessed.

Au naturale

Mateo can't get enough of being with the trees and leaves. Or took him out and took a series of pictures of him playing and being amongst it all. This is one of my favorites.

The winner is...

OCTOBER 25 - Or said that Mateo was getting a bit bored with his toys, so I picked up this little award winning toy for him. As you can see he loves it. He's so cute bouncing up and down, trying to get it to move. He'll even put his feet up so you can push him across the floor. I think we really do have a winner here.
